Pandorea jasminoides.
This little-known tender climber is native to Australia and surrounding
islands where it is known as the Bower Plant. At Southern Comfort P.
jasminoides grows in a pot, in location where there is little sun
but plenty of shelter. We have it permanently trained on a wall. Once
established in its large pot it has proved to be vigorous, easy to flower
and, here at least, perfectly hardy; in fact, no damage was observed even
during the worst of recent winters. It does require regular watering to
prevent it drying out totally and also occasional feeding. |
