The extraordinary beauty of the modest
Begonia sutherlandii is presented at eye level on the rocks of
the cliff. The little plant is hardy in the locality and can be propagated
from bulbils which form on the stem; it re-grows after being cut down during
winter. Under conservatory conditions this plant can become altogether more
substantial and remains evergreen during winter.
